What is covered

Calendar72 has calendars for national teams on every continent, from Germany, England and Brazil to Japan, the USA and the Faroe Islands. Each calendar collects the major competitions that team plays:

World Cup and qualifying

The World Cup finals and the qualifiers in every region: Europe, South America, North and Central America, Africa, Asia and Oceania.

Nations League

The UEFA Nations League for European teams, and the CONCACAF Nations League for North and Central America and the Caribbean.

Continental championships

The European Championship and its qualifiers, the Copa América, the Africa Cup of Nations, the Asian Cup, the Gold Cup and the ASEAN Cup.

Friendlies

International friendlies are included, so the warm-up matches before a tournament are there too.

For Germany or England, for example, that means the World Cup and its qualifiers, the European Championship and its qualifiers, the Nations League and friendlies. The same goes for Austria and Switzerland. For the USA: the World Cup and its qualifiers, the Gold Cup, the CONCACAF Nations League and friendlies.

How it works

  1. Install Calendar72

Get the free app from the App Store on your iPhone.

  2. Pick your country

Choose football, then national teams, and find your country by continent.

  3. Add it to your calendar

Tap to add it. Apple Calendar asks you to confirm with Subscribe, and you are done. For Google Calendar the app walks you through one short step in the browser; for Outlook you add the calendar once in Outlook on a computer. With Google and Outlook it then shows up on every device signed in to that account.

Why a calendar helps here

International breaks come a few times a year, with matches on different weekdays, at changing times and often abroad. That is exactly when matches get missed. With the calendar subscribed, the next international window is simply there, in your local time.

Always up to date

Kick-off times for qualifiers and friendlies are often set late, and tournament knockout matches only get their teams after the group stage. Calendar72 checks the schedules every day and adds or updates the matches in your calendar. Your calendar app fetches the changes on its next refresh.

Time not confirmed yet? Look for the *

Some matches are scheduled long before their exact start time is known. Calendar72 puts them on the planned date with a * in front of the title and a short note in the event. As soon as the time is confirmed, the * disappears and the entry moves to the confirmed day and time.

What it costs

Nothing. Calendar72 is free to download, and every calendar in it is free to subscribe to.

Questions about the national team calendar

Which competitions are in my national team's calendar?
World Cup, qualifying, friendlies, plus the Nations League and the continental championship where they exist.
Is my country included?
Very likely. There are calendars for national teams on every continent, including smaller football nations such as San Marino, Tonga or Bhutan. If yours is missing, send a request in the app.
Does it work with Google Calendar or Outlook, not just Apple Calendar?
Yes. Apple Calendar is one tap. For Google Calendar the app guides you through one short step in the browser, and for Outlook you add the calendar once in Outlook on a computer. From then on it updates on its own, on every device signed in to that account.
Is there an Android app?
There is no Android app yet. Calendar72 is an iPhone app, and choosing and subscribing happens in the app. If you add a calendar to Google Calendar or Outlook, it appears wherever that account is signed in.
How do I remove a calendar again?
Delete the subscription in your calendar app. In Apple Calendar, tap Calendars, then the info button next to the calendar, and choose Delete Calendar.
