Your ice hockey schedule in your iPhone calendar

How do you get the DEL or NHL schedule into your iPhone calendar? Install the free Calendar72 app, pick your club or the whole league and tap Add. Every game then appears in Apple Calendar, Google Calendar or Outlook, and new or moved games follow on their own. It works for every club in the DEL, the DEL2 and the NHL.

What is covered

For each league below there is a calendar for every club and one calendar with the whole league.

DEL

Every DEL club with its regular season games (the Hauptrunde), and the whole league in one calendar. Pre-playoff and playoff games are added once the pairings are set.

DEL2

Every DEL2 club with its main-round games (the Hauptrunde), and the whole league in one calendar. Games are added as our data source publishes them, so later parts of the season can arrive in stages. DEL2 playoff games are not included for now.

NHL

Every NHL team with preseason, regular season and playoff games, and the whole league in one calendar. Each game names its arena.

More North American sports

NFL, NBA, MLB, MLS and WNBA work the same way. See the NFL and US sports calendar.

How it works

  1. Install Calendar72

Get the free app from the App Store on your iPhone.

  2. Pick your club or league

Choose ice hockey, then the DEL, the DEL2 or the NHL, and pick a club or the whole league.

  3. Add it to your calendar

Tap to add it. Apple Calendar asks you to confirm with Subscribe, and you are done. For Google Calendar the app walks you through one short step in the browser; for Outlook you add the calendar once in Outlook on a computer. With Google and Outlook it then shows up on every device signed in to that account.

NHL at night, in your time

Most NHL games start in the North American evening, which in Europe is the middle of the night: a 7 pm game in Boston usually starts at 1 am in Germany. Your calendar shows every game in your local time, so you see at a glance which ones you can watch live. DEL and DEL2 games are in your local time too, and when you travel, the times shift with you.

Always up to date

Calendar72 checks the DEL, DEL2 and NHL schedules every day. If a game is moved or added, your calendar follows on its next refresh: Apple Calendar usually within a few hours, Google Calendar and Outlook can take up to a day. You do not have to open the app again.

NHL time not confirmed yet? Look for the *

An NHL game whose start time is not confirmed yet sits on its planned date with a * in front of the title and a short note in the event. As soon as the time is confirmed, the * disappears and the entry moves to the confirmed day and time.

What it costs

Nothing. Calendar72 is free to download, and every calendar in it is free to subscribe to.

Questions about the ice hockey calendars

Are the DEL playoffs included?
Yes. Pre-playoff and playoff games are added to your club's calendar and to the DEL calendar once the pairings are set.
Can I subscribe to my club only, or to the whole league?
Both. Every club in the DEL, the DEL2 and the NHL has its own calendar, and each league also comes as one calendar with every game. Subscribe to as many as you like.
Are Champions Hockey League or national team games included?
No. The DEL and DEL2 calendars carry league games only, and there are no Champions Hockey League or national team hockey calendars in the app. If you would like one, use "Request a calendar" in the app.
Do I need to subscribe again next season?
No. Once the new season's schedule is out, its games arrive in the calendar you already have. If your club moves up or down a league, subscribe to its calendar in the new league.
Does it work with Google Calendar or Outlook, not just Apple Calendar?
Yes. Apple Calendar is one tap. For Google Calendar the app guides you through one short step in the browser, and for Outlook you add the calendar once in Outlook on a computer. From then on it updates on its own, on every device signed in to that account.
Is there an Android app?
There is no Android app yet. Calendar72 is an iPhone app, and choosing and subscribing happens in the app. If you add a calendar to Google Calendar or Outlook, it appears wherever that account is signed in.
